Is Daily Bible Verse free?
Yes. The core app — your daily verse, favorites, reading plans, quiz, prayer journal, streaks, and notifications — is free, supported by ads. A Premium upgrade is available for anyone who wants to remove ads and unlock extra features.
What does Premium include?
Premium removes all ads, unlocks the Home Screen widget so it displays your real daily verse, removes the watermark from shared verse images, and adds extra share-image backgrounds. Premium is available as a weekly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase — pricing for each is shown in the app before you buy.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
Open the app, go to Settings, and tap "Manage Subscription" under your Premium status — this opens your device's own subscription management screen (App Store or Play Store), where you can switch plans, cancel, or view your renewal date at any time.
Does everyone see the same verse each day?
Yes — the "verse of the day" is the same for every user on a given calendar date, in whichever Bible translation you've chosen. It's not personalized or randomized per install, so you and a friend using the app will always see the same verse on the same day.
Which Bible translations are available?
English offers several public-domain translations (including the Berean Standard Bible, King James Version, World English Bible, American Standard Version, Bible in Basic English, and the Darby Bible). Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese each include a translation in that language. You can change your translation any time from Settings.
Can I use the app in my language?
The app interface is available in English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese, and matches your device's language automatically the first time you open it. You can change it manually from Settings at any time.
How does the Home Screen widget work?
Long-press your Home Screen, tap the "+" button, search for "Daily Bible Verse," and add it in your preferred size. The widget updates once a day with the current verse. Displaying the actual verse text in the widget requires Premium; without it, the widget shows a locked placeholder that links back into the app.
What's the reading streak?
Your streak counts consecutive days you've opened the app and viewed your daily verse. It resets if you miss a day. Milestones are celebrated at 7, 30, 100, and 365 days.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. All Bible verses, reading plans, and quiz content are bundled with the app and work fully offline — no internet connection is needed for the core experience. An internet connection is only used for ads and for processing Premium purchases.
Is my data private?
Your favorites, prayer journal entries, and settings are stored only on your own device — we don't have a server that stores them. See our Privacy Policy for full details, including how advertising works.
How do I delete my data?
Since everything is stored locally, uninstalling the app permanently deletes your favorites, journal entries, and settings from your device.
How do I turn off notifications?
Go to Settings within the app and disable notifications there, or manage notification permissions from your device's system settings at any time.
